Why MKB
How It Works
Five clear steps, one point of contact the whole way — so you always know what's done, what's happening now, and what comes next.
We come to you — measure the space, learn how you live in it, and talk honestly about scope, materials, and budget. No charge, no pressure.
Layouts, finishes, and fixture selections come together with a written, line-item quote and a realistic schedule before you sign anything.
We file NYC permits and assemble your co-op or condo alteration package — insurance certificates, drawings, and management forms included.
Your home is protected, the crew keeps the site tidy, and you get steady updates from a single lead. Inspections are scheduled as work progresses.
We walk the finished space together, detail by detail. Anything that needs a touch-up gets handled, and we review care and documentation with you before we wrap up.
NYC Renovations · Permits & Boards
In New York City, the paperwork often takes longer than the build itself. A co-op board may ask for an alteration agreement, contractor insurance naming the building, detailed drawings, a work schedule, and proof that neighbors will be notified — and the Department of Buildings runs its own filing and inspection track on top of that.
MKB prepares the whole package, coordinates directly with your building's management company, files for city permits, and books inspections in sequence. You don't chase forms, track down certificates, or wonder whether your start date will slip over a missing signature — we keep the approvals moving so construction can begin on schedule.
